We care passionately about protecting the environment and we are doing everything we can to reduce our carbon footprint.
We recycle all the water used in the cooling processes in production and 90% of our packaging is recyclable – both jars and lids. Wherever possible we recycle all cardboard and other materials used in the production process. All our people are continually thinking about reducing energy consumption – particularly heating and lighting - and we monitor our consumption regularly, reviewing our progress against targets. Our delivery vehicles are selected with a view to minimising emissions and we always maximise loads. Finally, we go to great lengths to source our ingredients locally to ensure we’re keeping “food miles” to a minimum.
And our vigilance is paying dividends. For the past five years we have met and exceeded targets for energy reduction laid down by the Food Manufacturers Federation.
